Why this is separate from the price comparison

This page answers a question about time. What something costs today, across every way of paying for it, is a different question with a different answer, and it has its own page: every route priced side by side, with membership fees added in. Keeping the two apart is deliberate — a tracker that also tried to be a comparison would be worse at both, and the two would compete with each other for the same readers.

Both directions are happening at once, which is why a single answer is misleading. Compounded telehealth medication prices have fallen — one provider cut its advertised semaglutide from $99 to $60 and its tirzepatide from $199 to $90 during August 2026. Meanwhile the cheapest approved self-pay tier is scheduled to rise: NovoCare states the tier covering the 4 mg Wegovy tablet goes from $149 to $199 a month after 31 August 2026. Manufacturer list prices are also due to fall to $675 on 1 January 2027, which mostly affects people paying a percentage of list rather than a flat price.
When will GLP-1 prices go down?
One dated, publicly announced reduction exists: Novo Nordisk stated on 24 February 2026 that the US list price of Wegovy, Ozempic and Rybelsus falls to $675 from 1 January 2027, and said the change does not affect direct-to-patient self-pay prices. Everything else is speculation, and we do not publish forecasts of prices.
